RTA to extend Flyer service hours during NATO event

(DAYTON, OHIO)… The Greater Dayton RTA will be expanding the weekend hours of the Flyer to run from 8 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, May 24, and on Sunday, May 25 to enhance access to local businesses and restaurants downtown.

Due to the security perimeter set up for the NATO event, the Flyer will be rerouted beginning May 20 through May 26, and will travel through Wright Stop Plaza from Jefferson Street to Main Street, instead of turning left down Third Street. All passengers who normally get off at the bus stop outside of The Arcade should utilize the stop at the hub. Please view the Flyer reroute map pictured to the right.

During the NATO event, RTA’s downtown transit center will remain open, and services will continue to run with minor re-routes downtown around the secured area. More details on the re-routes will be released closer to the event.

Downtown visitors during the NATO event are encouraged to avoid the headache of finding parking and take the RTA. You can plan your trip and view reroute information in the Transit app and on www.iriderta.org
