(DAYTON, OHIO)… As the Greater Dayton RTA continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary, we are keeping the festivities going by rolling out a special promotion to mark being 50 days into the new year.
On Friday, Feb. 24, members of RTA’s communications department will be handing out free 50th anniversary items. The items will be given to customers on our three 50th anniversary-themed buses including the electric trolley, which will be on Route 4; our diesel bus, which will run on Route 7; and our paratransit bus, which operates by appointment. The giveaways will happen at various times throughout the day. The promotion falls just five days after the 50th day of the year and caps off two weeks of public input sessions regarding the RTA’s proposed system redesign.
Last fall, the RTA marked its 50 years of providing essential public transportation to the greater Dayton community with three celebrations that included a public event, an employee event, and recognition by the RTA board of trustees which included the unveiling of the three 50th anniversary buses.
As the RTA continues to celebrate how it proudly serves Montgomery County now and into the next 50 years, the agency will be unveiling more special promotions.
