Route 6 stops on Woodman Drive between Eastman and SR 35 have been closed due to construction.

Route 16 northbound is re-routed near Riverside and Shoop Mill. Stops in this area have been closed.

Route 22 Detour Miller/Benchwood

The bus stops for Route 22 Southbound on Miller Lane between Benchwood and Stop 8 Road will be closed due to a detour.

Route 22 Detour Dunbar HS

Route 22 southbound is re-routed near Dunbar HS. A temp stop has been added on Heartsoul at McArthur.

Stout @ Patterson Closed

The bus stop for Masonite has been temporarily relacoted in front of Daikin across from Masonite.

Flyer Arcade - Temporary Stop

The Arcade stop for the Flyer is closed and a temporary stop is located on Main Street in front of the The UD Hub.

RTA offers free rides on Christmas, New Year’s Day

(DAYTON, OHIO)… The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will be offering free rides systemwide on both Christmas and New Year’s Day to help people spend time with their loved ones and celebrate the holidays.

This free service includes fixed-route buses, as well as rides on RTA Connect, the agency’s ADA paratransit service. The call center will also be open regular hours.

There is still time to catch a ride on our December bus, which will be on various routes throughout Dec. 31. Santa Claus will be riding two more times this holiday season—once on Sunday, Dec. 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Route 22, and finally on Christmas Eve from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Route 1. The December bus schedule can be found at www.iriderta.org/holiday-bus-schedule.

Also, the RTA’s historic Christmas trolley will also be on display and giving free rides on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon, and on Monday, Dec. 23, from 4-6 p.m. in front of Wright Stop Plaza in downtown Dayton. Participants can visit Santa Claus and enjoy free hot chocolate and coffee.
