(DAYTON, Ohio)— In an effort to help provide equitable access to health care, education, and career training for all Dayton residents, the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority has added a stop to the new Hope Center via the Route 12.
The Hope Center for Families is an initiative of the Omega Community Development Corporation (CDC) to empower low-income individuals and families of greater Dayton to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency with the life skills, work skills and character needed to succeed through a two-generational poverty reduction model.
The Hope Center brings together services from Dayton Children’s Hospital, Mini University, Sinclair College, and Omega CDC to serve the unique needs of our community, and address the needs of both children and the adults in their lives together. RTA is providing service via a new stop on the Route 12 to the center to ensure those families have the transportation to get to this valuable community asset.
"The Omega CDC is thrilled to partner with RTA to provide a bus stop outside the Hope Center for Families. This stop will ensure that all families will have access to the educational, medical, and support services offered at the Hope Center for Families,” said President of Omega CDC Vanessa Ward. “Its location is also beneficial to the seniors living in the adjacent Omega Senior Lofts. The impact of having reliable transportation so close to the Center will be a blessing to so many children and families."
The Hope Center’s is located at 1816 Harvard Boulevard and opens November 10, 2021. Hours are Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can plan your trip today using the Transit app. You can also view Route 12 schedule here.
